Course description
A look at the traditions associated with this day, including:
路 鈥淏oxing鈥 Day 鈥 what is it, and why don鈥檛 Americans have it too?
路 St Stephen 鈥 who was he?
路 How is the day celebrated in other countries? Catalonia seems to have some nice recipes鈥
路 Good King Wenceslas 鈥 what鈥檚 the story of the carol, and of the King? (Singing is not compulsory.)
路 Speaking of carols, it鈥檚 also the Second Day of Christmas, and what did my True Love bring?
路 On a rather melancholy note, today is the Hunting of the Wren. (Please don鈥檛 try the original at home, but the Irish version might well be fun.)
