Course overview
Course description
This course is intended for learners that have previously done a BSL Beginners course, who want to further develop their conversational skills in order to become more proficient in their use of BSL. The course will help learners to develop their confidence when using vocabulary and will help them to focus more on the BSL word order being used in conversations. The learning will take place in an online classroom through Zoom with 7 x 2 hour sessions and will be facilitated through the use of Canvas a Virtual Learning Platform. Our highly experienced tutor (Pre-Entry 6 BSL) will guide learners through the course, helping them to gather learning evidence for the learning outcomes as they are achieved. Learners will explore a range of vocabulary relating to hobbies and interests and home life. Learners will then learn how to apply the vocabulary to conversations gaining confidence in asking questions volunteering answers. Learners will engage in group and paired work through out the course. Learners will also take part in some independent work outside of session time and submit this through Canvas. Full details and support will be given to learners throughout the duration of the course. Begin your sign journey today and enrol onto this exciting new learning opportunity!
