Course description
On this course you will learn more about the work of the community interpreter. You will develop your knowledge of public service provision in your local area and the terminology used in different settings.
This course will teach you foundational concepts to test your community interpreting skills informally with family or friends. It will prepare you to help members of your family or community to overcome language barriers in their everyday lives. It can also help you decide if you鈥檙e interested in pursuing community interpreting jobs.
This non-accredited course provides an introduction to community interpreting for speakers of other languages. In this course, you will develop the skills and knowledge you need to progress to a level 2 accredited course in community interpreting.
After successfully completing this course, you could progress to an accredited level 2 course.
