Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.

Course description
Understand child development and learn how to support children's well-being. Gain insight into the operation of a school or college. Understand essential safeguarding practices for working with children. Become familiar with diversity, equality, and inclusion considerations in the school environment.
Your tutor will set various tasks to assess your learning. These may include producing leaflets, charts or diagrams, or information boards.
This award usually takes around 120 hours to complete and can be done in 6 months. After, you can progress to the Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
The aim of this qualification is to prepare you for a variety of job roles that can be done in schools and colleges. These could include: learning assistant, technical support worker, classroom volunteer, administrative worker, or any other on-site roles.
