What we鈥檒l cover
Develop your understanding of numbers, including approximation and rounding to 10 and 100.
Learn to multiply with decimals and do long divisions.
Carry out calculations involving money using the correct units and decimal places.
Develop your understanding of 2-D and 3-D shapes, including the concepts of symmetry, length, and angles.
Interpret and be able to organise data in tables, lists, diagrams, and bar charts.
Entry 3 functional skills maths courses teach you essential maths skills for learning, life, and work. This is an adult maths course with a practical focus.
When you finish entry 3 level you can progress to level 1 functional skills maths courses. There are also 鈥済et ready鈥 courses between each level to prepare you for the next course. The highest level is level 2.
Level 2 maths functional skills courses are accepted as a GCSE equivalent for many jobs and courses. They can help you do an apprenticeship, higher education course, or go to University.
What to expect
This maths course takes around 60 hours to complete. Functional skills courses are ideal for flexible learning. You can choose to take an in-person or online functional skills course.
